What is vision? I recently looked up a few definitions of the word vision.
-Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight
-The manner in which one sees or conceives of something
-A mental image produced by the imagination
We utilize “vision” in many aspects of our daily lives. A father or mother may have a vision for their family’s future. A Pastor may have a vision for the future of his church. A leader may have a vision of starting a business that he/she has always dreamed of. Vision starts out as something very personal. It’s something that you see with your mind’s eye that only you can initially see. Vision has been a part of human existence from the beginning of time. Certain people are blessed with a larger capacity for vision than others, but everyone has the ability to see something very unique and powerful for the future. As the Proverbs say, “Without vision, the people perish.” Over the coming weeks/months, we will continue to take a deeper dive into the concept of vision, how it applies to our lives, families and businesses. What’s your vision for your life? Your company? Can you see it so clearly that you could paint it like DaVinci on the ceiling of your home or business? How will you get there?
